Ambrosial, tangy, potent.
Made from a special single block single block of Pinot Gris, this powerful Alsatian-style had a small portion of the grapes affected by botrytis.
It doles out Asian pears, pomelo, yellow plums, cultivated mushrooms and vanilla aromas. The nose tricks you into thinking it will be dry, but in typical Alsatian style it's not (35g/L residual sugar). Concentrated and weighty with flavours of stone fruits, quince and marmalade, it has impressive potency but also tangy acidity that cleans the palate up nicely. Lengthy and ambrosial.
Pair: Munster with caraway seeds, liver pate, pork, spicy/exotic cuisines.
